The pictures coming in from Karamoja Sub-region are most disheartening. Very many Ugandans are being murdered in cold blood. The efforts to end this nightmare have not been serious. The people of Karamoja have been asking very critical questions and getting very few answers from the authorities. In many instances, people within the region have accused security forces of shooting unarmed civilians, but there have been no attempt to investigate these allegations to conclusion. In the strongest terms possible, we condemn these massacres and demand that an end is put to these senseless killings. I call upon all of us to stand in solidarity with these brothers and sisters who live in extreme fear. I call upon the media to shine a light on what is happening in Karamoja. The people of Karamoja need to feel that the rest of the nation stands with them and that we all understand their pain and suffering. #EndKaramojaMassacres #FreeAllPoliticalPrisonersUganda

Gutted to learn of the death of Mrs. Immaculate Onebe, whose decomposing body has been discovered in a septic tank at their home more than 7 months after she went missing. On 6 January 2021, the 63-year old was waylaid and abducted by security personnel travelling in a Toyota Hiace 'Drone' who whisked her off to an unknown location. Frantic efforts by her family to trace her yielded no fruits, although security forces eventually admitted responsibility for her abduction. Mrs. Onebe went missing at a time when similar abductions of opposition leaders, supporters and sympathisers had become the order of the day in the run up to, and in the aftermath of the 14th January election. Dictator Museveni later published a statement taking responsibility for the abductions which he revealed were being masterminded by his private militia, the SFC, reasoning that the victims were security threats. To date, several victims are still missing; others are suffering in prisons without trial, w...

By Bobi Wine    Very saddened by the passing of His Eminence Metropolitan Jonah Lwanga, Archbishop of Kampala and Exarch of All Uganda in the Orthodox Church, who has been an outspoken critic of the injustice and bad governance in our country. Not one to sit by and watch as our country careened down the steep slope of dictatorship, Archbishop Jonah has been a consistent voice in pointing out the wrongs of those who hold us captive. Perhaps his most candid comment in recent times was when he urged Ugandans to pray for the collapse of #DictatorMuseveni 's regime, reasoning that only then shall we have peace and prosperity again. That Archbishop Jonah has now passed on raises more questions than answers, considering that many other religious leaders, prominent for their criticism of the regime, have passed on recently under unclear circumstances. Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga of the Catholic Church, Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata Batte, and the Bishop Emeritus of Masaka John Baptist Kagg...

As predicted, the Museveni regime has actualized its plan of implicating NUP leaders in the ongoing spate of murders in Greater Masaka. When mister Chris Baryomunsi alluded to this last week, it looked like an absolute joke. But as we now know, anything is possible in Uganda. They will do anything possible and go to any extent to achieve their absurd objectives. In fact, there is no regime whose evil schemes can be as accurately predicted as that in Uganda. As we speak, Hon. Muhammad Segirinya (MP Kawempe North) and Hon. Allan Ssewanyana (MP Makindye West) has been summoned to appear before CID next Monday in relation to the ongoing spate of murders. Anyone can predict where this is going, and what their grand objective is. What I can say without contradiction, is that this new attempt will fail, like all those before. Our people just need to be vigilant and remain alert.

By Bobi Wine    We are very delighted to reconnect with all our comrades who have been released today from illegal detention. After six months of torture, imprisonment and humiliation, the General Court Martial today released 18 of those they were still holding- prominent amongst them Nubian Li, Eddie Mutwe, Dan Magic, Kampala Lookman, Bobi Young, Kivumbi Achleo, and others. Their release on bail was hinged on very tough conditions, including an order for them not to go beyond Kampala and Wakiso without the court's permission. We are very grateful to all Ugandans- home and abroad who have raised their voices demanding for these comrades' release. I thank the religious leaders, traditional leaders, political leaders and all ordinary citizens who have done everything to demand for the release of these people. We must now not relent but continue to struggle until all the hundreds of our people are freed unconditionally. We must not relent until Gen. Museveni's criminal regime ...

President Museveni It is really bankrupt to kill people. If I had killed Besigye, he would now be a hero in people's minds. They would be saying that 'Oh Besigye would have done a big thing but he was killed'. That's how Jesus became a hero. If those Romans had not killed Jesus, I don't know what would have happened
